Los Angeles Times Festival of Books

The LA Times 2010 Festival of Books is hosting their weekend book and book-lovers matchmaking fair this weekend at UCLA. Reconnect with that old media you forgot about ever since the dawn of your Facebook account! Your books miss you, and somewhere, deep down in your technologically-hardened heart, you miss them. Get down to the Festival of Books and rediscover your love of the typeset, non-digitized word!
Festival of Books features booksellers, publishers, literary and cultural organizations whose sole purpose is pushing the written word. Buy all the books that your little heart can handle. Multi-lingual? Kein problem! Thanks to the great diversity LA has to offer, you can find books in tons of languages, from tons of different cultures. That alone knocks the socks off any school book fair you ever attended.
Still looking for a little entertainment? Check out any one of the nearly 100 book panels held in UCLA's lecture halls, or the outdoor readings and storytelling for the kids. Check out the website for more info, and in the meantime, turn off the TV and go read a book!
April 24-25, 2010, at various locations throughout UCLA. Free admission!
