An epic EDM destination on Saturday nights, Avaland is a major fixture of the dance scene in Los Angeles. This way-after hours club night runs from 9:30PM to 8AM at Avalon in Hollywood, making it one of the few places in the city where you can truly dance until dawn. Avaland showcases classic electronic music genres with massive rave appeal, including trance, house, techno, tech house and progressive house. The night attracts some of the biggest names in dance music, major EDM superstars including Tiesto, David Guetta, Paul Oakenfold, Paul van Dyke, Marcus Schulz, Gareth Emery, Morgan Page and many more. If you want to save money getting in, buy your tickets in advance and arrive by 10:15PM. If you want to arrive when the party starts popping, get there no later than 3AM. Avaland’s crowd is a truly diverse lot, with an international contingent, barely legal babes and Asian students. Avalon’s bad ass sound system is the perfect match for the heaving beats of EDM, and you’ll encounter extended sets of two hours from headliners, in true European style. At 6AM, the bars kick back up to serve for a few more hours, and the DJ on the main dance floor continues for another hour or so. True party fiends migrate to the little dance floor and bar on the outdoor patio, which shelves out the beats until 9AM most mornings.

Interesting Facts

Avaland has been going strong in Los Angeles for a decade, since 2004 – but the club night actually started in Boston in 1998. This makes it one of the longest running club nights in the United States.

Tips

You'll find bathrooms on both the first and second floors - and the lines on the upper level are always shorter. HOWEVER - don’t go upstairs when the dance floor gets crowded, otherwise you won’t be let back downstairs to the main room. Wait in line o
