Featuring free live music, a beer garden and after party, FIGat7th Downtown Festival is a series of outdoor concerts held on Friday evenings this summer.

Find free live music every Friday evening from July 18 to August 22 at the FIGat7th Downtown Festival. No tickets are needed for this festive concert series, which showcases a dynamic array of up-and-coming artists like The Internet, Fool’s Gold and The Belle Brigade. Arrive early for happy hour DJs at Taste, and stay late for the after party at City Tavern.

Back for its second year, the FIGat7th Downtown Festival is a series of six free outdoor music concerts that take place in the heart of the city. Every Friday evening from July 18 to August 22, LA’s downtown shopping and dining destination fills with hot live music and an easygoing crowd of music fans. Hosted by Kevin Bronson of Buzzbands.LA, these Friday night concerts feature a high caliber of up-and-coming artists. Listen to a diverse array of music, including rock, pop, alternative, soul and jazz. This summer’s lineup for the FIGat7th Downtown Festival includes guitar rocker Jonathan Wilson (July 18), soul band The Internet (July 25), Afro-Mexican folk group Las Cafeteras (August 1), indie rock band Gardens & Villa (August 8), world music/Afro-pop group Fool’s Gold (August 15), and the artful songwriting duo The Belle Brigade (August 22). Each evening kicks off from 4PM to 7PM with happy hour specials at DJs at Taste, a collection of chef-driven casual eateries at FIGat7th including Loteria Grill, Juicy Lucy and The Melt. The festival bar and beer garden on the Plaza opens at 7PM, and the live music starts at 8PM and lasts until 10PM. But the party’s not over then – head to nearby City Tavern for the after party and enjoy a wide selection of craft draft beers and artisan cocktails. FIGat7th Downtown Festival is ideal for music fans into the local scene, the after-work crowd, people watching, and those looking for a romantic downtown date with dinner and a show.

Interesting Facts

FIGat7th also hosts a weekly gourmet Farmers Market every Thursday from 11AM to 2:30PM on the Plaza Level with organic produce, flower bouquets, kettle corn, honey, olives and freshly baked breads.

Tips

Parking at FIGat7th is available 24/7 for $5 – a deal for the downtown area. You can also take public transportation; the venue is right across the street from DASH bust route stops as well as the 7th Street Metro Station on the Red/Blue Line.
