Situated in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles and immersed in the energy of the city, Pershing Square is an urban oasis and central gathering spot. Every Saturday night through August 15, the park hosts free outdoor concerts with live rock, pop and indie music. Bring a blanket and find a cool spot on the grass to watch the show, which also features a Beer & Wine Garden, Hard Bar, and numerous food trucks.

Surrounded the glistening steel and twinkling lights of the Los Angeles skyline, Pershing Square is a special setting to see an outdoor concert. Every Saturday night this summer through August 15, you’ll find free live music shows on the Square’s Downtown Stage. Headline bands will perform every weekend, offering an eclectic variety of local performers: rock, pop, indie, folk and more. You’ll also find a Beer & Wine Garden and a Hard Bar for liquid refreshments, as well as numerous gourmet food trucks to refuel throughout the night. Relax on the grass with your friends, or grab one of the tables with shady umbrellas. Here’s the lineup for the 2015 Pershing Square Summer Concert Series: July 11: Big Bad Voodoo Daddy & Preston Smith July 18: Starship feat. Mickey Thomas & Martha Davis and the Motels July 25: Rickie Lee Jones & Joseph Arthur August 1: Shelby Lynne & The Jayhawks August 8: International Swingers, Gamblers Mark & Johnny X and The Names August 15: America & Freddy Jones Band Doors open at 7PM so that everyone can find a place to sit, and the music starts at 8PM. Easy access and check-in are located on the corner of Olive and 6th. Arrive early for the best seats on the concert lawn, and don’t forget to bring a beach blanket or lounge chair – and your ID for the bars.

Interesting Facts

A public gathering place for over 163 years, Pershing Square is the oldest park in Los Angeles. The five acres that make up the park are original pueblo lands granted to the City of Los Angeles from Spain in 1781.
