First Fridays at the Natural History Museum

category: Events

The first Friday of every month means there's a party at the Natural History Museum! Scheduled for Feb. 5, Mar. 5, April 2, May 7, and June 4, with live music by Atlas Sound, the Tune Yards, DJ Spider, and Them Jeans. Take your date on a science field trip to the museum and learn all about the science of California, featuring the exhibit Spider Silks: Natural Engineering Marvels with Dr. Cheryl Y Hayashi and the "Meet the Silk Makers" tourguided by Brent Karner.

In the coming First Fridays, the Natural History Museum focuses on an issue of importance to the ecosystem of southern California, from earthquakes, sustainable energy, micro and macro ecosystems, and everything in between. First Fridays have three bars, dinner concessions, and science! Bring out you and your date's inner nerd!
