About the Artist:

Place of Birth: Mountain View, Ca

"Music was always a part of my family. I was play[ed] guitar with my dad around the house early on...In elementary school, I picked up trombone and acoustic Bass. [Soon after] the music teacher pushed me into auditioning for honor groups and as I made them, it quickly became apparent that music was my thing (...when my sports career took a dive). I played electric and acoustic bass in every group/genre possible throughout school, but Jazz was my true love. My bass took me to Japan, allowed me experiences with Jazz greats that I will cherish forever, and took me through a Masters degree in Jazz studies at USC. In my twenties, I discovered electronic music, and was quickly hooked. After some experimentation, it was obvious that house music was for me....Funk, Soul, Jazz, HipHop all wrapped into some ass moving beats!! Throughout my time in grad school I found much joy in composition, and as house music was becoming a more dominant force in my life, that joy transfered into producing. My first go at production entitled 'You Wanna Dance?' got picked up by Grab Recordings out of Dallas, and by the grace of god and Joe Castillo, it found it's way into the hands of Miguel Migs...By some other random circumstance I was seeing Migs play in LA, and at the end of the night in came my track! What a feeling that was!! After bombarding the stage to share my joy with Miguel, he told me he loved the sound and to send him more stuff. The fire under my ass was lit, I stepped up my production a notch, and within two months I was signed to Salted Music and had the Coldcuts Ep on its way to the presses. I have since released with Dae recordings, partnered up with Troydon to form 'Quality Control' and release on Drop Music, and remixed for Salted, Phono Shuffle and Aroma. I'm grateful for all that has happened, and am excited about whats to come! Namaste!"

Memorable Quote: 'it is what it is...so work it out.'
