Echo Park is a hotbed of Los Angeles music, art and youth culture – and this free, all-ages festival celebrates the best of the best. Featuring multiple stages on venues throughout the neighborhood, Echo Park Rising is a come-as-you-are event that showcases a huge variety of music: electronic, rock, hip hop, folk, indie, acoustic and everything else. The music goes all day for three days straight, along Sunset Boulevard, Glendale Boulevard, Alvarado Avenue and Echo Park Avenue. The main stage is located at Taix, and this year’s lineup is packed. Topping the roster is Allah-Las, Woods, Goldlink, De Lux, Myron & E and Matthewdavid. Other artists you’ll want to catch include Dante vs. Zombies, Kan Wakan, Adult Books, Gavin Turek, Mexico 68, Sex Stains, Cherry Glazerr, The Shrine, Babes, Plague Vendor and Chad & The Meat Bodies. Part block party, part street fair and part music festival, Echo Park Rising also features some of LA’s best food trucks, plus special activities and deals on purchases at tons of local record stores, boutiques and art galleries. Origami Vinyl, The Hub Gallery, Vlad the Retailer, Lolipop Records, Blue Bag Records, LA Time Travel Mart and Lemon Frog Shop Vintage are just a few of the local vendors getting in on the fun.
