Kick back and relax at the end of Route 66 this fall at Way Over Yonder, a two-day folk music festival that takes place at the Santa Monica Pier. Celebrating America's musical tradition of singers and songwriters with a diverse collection of artists, this festival is the younger, sexier, West Coast sister of the popular Newport Folk Festival. Listen to 13 hours of nonstop music each day, and enjoy the festive atmosphere of the iconic Santa Monica Pier. The Main Stage is located outdoors on the deck, and will feature full sets from headlining performers, a sod seating area, and a large beer garden area with tables and chairs for 21+ fans. This stage also includes an exclusive priority viewing area and backstage patio bar for guests with VIP tickets (who also receive express entry to the venue). Acoustic artists will perform indoors at the Carousel Stage, situated in the historic Carousel building - which features a vintage soda fountain. Friday's headliners include Local Natives, Lucinda Williams, Moses Sumney and Houndmouth. On Saturday, you'll hear Jackson Browne, Heartless Bastards, The Barr Brothers and Linda Perhacs. Also performing at the festival are Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Jamestown Revival, The Lone Bellow, Bootstraps, Little Hurricane, The Wild Reeds, The Far West, and many more. You'll also find tasty food and drink vendors on the Pier, selling everything from churros and margaritas to sushi, gourmet burgers and funnel cakes. Tickets to Way Over Yonder cost $41 for Friday, $51 for Saturday, or $86 for a two-day pass.
