Bordello Bar

Los Angeles

901 East 1st Street
Los Angeles, CA 90012
Bar
The Bordello Bar is sexy for two reasons: the location is fairly hidden from the major part of Downtown LA, and the name! Anything named the Bordello Bar can only imply a good time. The Bordello Bar is not your average club with the standard-issue Top 40 hip hop mash ups blaring. They feature different kinds of music on different nights, which tends to attract a fun crowd. Rockabilly night is always a great time at this place, lots of old rockabilly tunes you forgot about and people who know how to dance to it! But it's really known for its burlesque shows, which happen nearly once a week. If you don't happen to catch a burlesque show, the bartenders all wear lingerie anyway, which only enhances their super-hotness.
The place looks like a Bordello, all red velvet, black chandeliers, dim lights, heavy velvet curtains. It's not over the top in the themed decor, but all that velvet is enough to make you want to seduce or be seduced on the Victorian velvet furniture. If anything, the whole of the Bordello Bar is entertaining, campy, sexy, and fun. When you get tired of the Hollywood spots that try too hard, and the other Downtown clubs for being too downtown, hit up the Bordello Bar and prepare to gawk.
