It takes full advantage of Avalon's amazing audiovisual setup, including one of the best sound systems on the West Coast. Control has a friendly vibe, with a young crowd out for a wild night of fun, stimulation and electronic dance music. You'll hear house and all of its incarnations, trance, techno, tech-house, electro dubstep, mash-ups and dance-friendly beats all night long - the perfect match for Avalon's massive dance floor. Control has showcased many of the hottest DJs and up-and-coming artists during its five-year existence, including Skrillex, Wolfgang Gartner, Rusko, Dada Life and Bingo Players. Because of the club's extended hours, DJs have the time to play marathon sets of two hours or more. This sets the stage for a classic dance party experience; at Control, don't be surprised if you lose all sense of time and space as you're getting down to the high-octane dance beats. Tips

On nights with popular artists, the line at Avalon runs the length of the block. You can often enter through the Spider Club - just be sure to tip the door guy! The cheapest parking around is on the other side of Hollywood Boulevard on Argyle Avenue.
