Lineup: ACIDICThe hardest-working, hottest young rock band in Southern California - ACIDIC - is at it again! They’re capping off a triumphant Vans Warped Tour ’14 run with a long-awaited mid-summer homecoming at their L.A. favorite: the legendary Doug Weston’s Troubadour! Their set on the Hard Rock Kevin Says Stage of the 20th Anniversary Warped Tour won both raves and enthusiastic crowds, and confirms 2014 as ACIDIC’s biggest year yet!! Plus, this is ACIDIC’s first year touring nationally as headliners, earning such superlatives as “BEST Wednesday night in a year” (Herman’s Hideaway, Denver) and “BEST Monday night EVER” (Machinery Row, Great Falls MT). ACIDIC will soon go back into the studio to record their next album featuring new songs that have wow’ed ‘em on the road since they were first performed at WJJO-FM’s Acoustic New Year's Eve in 2013. The new album will be produced by multi-platinum award-winner John Ryan of Chicago Kid Productions (Styx, Santana, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Allman Brothers), who helmed their most recent CD “Copper Man.” That album earned ACIDIC a distribution deal with SONY/RED via MegaForce Records, and top-100 rankings on the Mediabase Active Rock charts for months. Motley Crue's Nikki Sixx named both the title track and "Drive Thru" “Sixx Picks of the Week” on his syndicated radio "Side Show." The hilarious, jawdroppingly-insane “Copper Man” video blew past 1,000,000 views on Youtube! (http://www.youtube.com/theacidicband) Critical raves continue to pour in for ACIDIC on CD and onstage! BLUERAIL.com: “Frontman Michael Gossard is a force of nature, connecting to his audience and his band mates in ways that make an ACIDIC show highly electrifying.” DallasObserver.com even hailed Gossard as “gleefully demented”! RUKUS magazine: “These guys aren’t afraid to rock out. Gossard can really wail with his vocal at times and the band is full of energy.” PERFORMER magazine: “Straight from the get go, ACIDIC brings forth its frenetic energy and passionate sound in waves of indie alternative delight. This band brings the goods, with personality and flair unmatched in many West Coast bands.“ ACIDIC's tour history includes routings with Hinder, Trapt, Candlebox, Fuel, Alien Ant Farm, Hawthorne Heights, Filter, Marcy Playground, Smile Empty Soul, and Armed Forces Entertainment for US troops in Kosovo and Germany; Sunset Sessions Rock 2013!, multiple 2Broke 2Rock KHTQ-sponsored festivals in Spokane WA, 2012 Winter NAMM Show at the Anaheim Convention Center, SXSW, Florida Music Festival, Rockin’ Roots Festival, Sunset Strip Music Festival, and Bamboozle Left. ACIDIC's power rocker "Strata Red" won the Alternative category in the 18th Billboard WorldWide Song Contest. ACIDIC consists of lead singer/guitarist Michael Gossard, drummer Matt Whitaker, guitarist Josh Bennett, and bassist Max Myrick. ACIDIC, which Alternative Press said “Rocks like Funeral Party, Cage the Elephant, Young the Giant,” consists of lead singer/guitarist Michael Gossard, bassist Ted Dubrawski, guitarist/backup vocalist Michael Thompson, and drummer Matt Whitaker. Last fall, ACIDIC unleashed their latest album, the highly-anticipated “Chronic Satisfaction,” to wild and enthusiastic response! The CD, produced by multi-platinum award-winning producer John Ryan (Styx, Santana, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers, etc) of Chicago Kid Productions. The strength of “Chronic Satisfaction” inspired Music Reviews to name ACIDIC one of its “12 Bands To Watch in 2012,” and the steamy video of the single "Uninspired" has become a Youtube sensation. They've also toured with Alien Ant Farm, Hawthorne Heights, Filter, Marcy Playground, and The Higher. They’ve also toured Kosovo and Germany, rocking US troops with Armed Forces Entertainment. In addition to their smash tours, ACIDIC has also played such prestigious gigs as the 2012 Winter NAMM Show at the Anaheim Convention Center, SXSW ’10 and ‘11, two Sunset Strip Music Festivals, and Bamboozle Left. ACIDIC won the Alternative category in the 18th Billboard WorldWide Song Contest in 2011 for their power rocker “Strata Red,” off their 2010 CD “Getting Lucky.”
