For the first time ever, the Consulate General of France in Los Angeles, in partnership with Grand Performances, is launching a Bastille Day celebration in the heart of Downtown! Come celebrate French culture, French music, and French food together, in the City of Angels!
Kick things off with Belle Affaire featuring Hannah Brier, a joyful jazz ensemble performing beloved French chanson classics — from Piaf to Aznavour — in a warm, convivial spirit Get ready for a high-energy, headline performance by Geyster, who will deliver a stylish blend of electro-pop, vintage funk, and unmistakable French grooves that promises to get the crowd moving and vibing under the LA sky. The night wraps up with a DJ set from Joachim Garraud, a pioneer of the French Touch and longtime collaborator of David Guetta and Jean-Michel Jarre. He will turn California Plaza into a giant open-air dance floor! Be immersed in an open-air celebration in the heart of Downtown, combining live music, French food specialties, and artisanal discoveries. Throughout the evening, local French vendors will offer delicious bites and products that showcase the French art de vivre—think crêpes, quiches, pastries, and handmade goods.
Seating is open and on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend arriving early to snag your preferred spot! Feel free to bring blankets and low-backed chairs to make yourself comfortable.
