Giant Maximus NYE 2007

Attention mortals: the Giant is returning. Yep, Giant Maximus is stalking across time to detonate on Sunday, December 31st, casting an ominous shadow over all the other New Year's Eve plans on earth. To prevent any of last year's rainy disaster though, Giant has wisely secured an interior location for this year's celebration. It's still in downtown Los Angeles, it's still huge and beautiful and full of unbelievable music, but this time weather will not be a factor. Among the fest's performer highlights are: Sasha and John Digweed (doing an extra-special six hour set), Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buuren, Sander Kleinenberg, and more. You will not want to miss out on this get-together. Expect serious unity, endless beats, and shiny happy people holding hands.

The seven-acre site of Giant Maximus is situated just blocks from the Bonaventure Hotel in downtown Los Angeles, and will surely be a sight to behold, as the party's production team will be building – basically – a three-ring circus. Three “big top” mega-structures will be conjoined into a massive, heated, 10,000-capacity arena with strategically positioned stages (to ensure optimum sound isolation) and a common courtyard area complete with giant Ferris wheel, bars, food, and an exceptionally large Canary Island date palm. It will be a night to remember (obviously). The full performance/artist line-up as of right now is like so: Sasha and John Digweed (a lengthy exclusive set, which will allegedly be “at least” six hours), Jimmy Van M., Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buuren, Sander Kleinenberg, Boris M.D., The Architects of Sound, John Do, Justin Gourley, and Mark Tabberner. More will undoubtedly be added as the date draws nearer, but even this initial line-up is totally to die for. So buy your tickets now, lock down hotel/after-party reservations, call all your friends, and mark your calendar with a Giant neon exclamation mark. Something Giant this way comes. Plan accordingly.
