Sometimes it's hard being an Angeleno. After all the hours spent reading scripts poolside and doing business lunches in Downtown, L.A. residents deserve the perfect spot to unwind. There is no better venue to do this than Venice's High Rooftop Lounge. Achieving the classic SoCal vibe of relaxed trendy chic, this spot draws in locals and regulars in droves. Situated on the roof of the neighborhood's stylishly funky Hotel Erwin, the High Rooftop is angled so that its patrons can look out over all of Venice Beach and the surrounding green scenery. Those that venture up the stairs (or elevator) to this gem of a lounge will be rewarded with 360 degree views of the coast, cool music pulsating from the DJ's speakers, and couches to sink into while you sip a fruity cocktail. Nowhere else in Venice can you look down on the ocean and still be close enough to feel the salty breeze in your hair and even hear the waves crashing in between DJ sets. A favorite destination for sunset chasers, this place has quickly become a hot spot for people that like to watch the sun drop. Rather than meandering up through the L.A. hills to get a good view of the sunset, you and your fellow dusk lovers can comfortably post up on a couch at the High Rooftop and Instagram to your heart's desire without having to stray too far from the bar. Usually crowded with 20 and 30 somethings in their best beach chic attire (think sun kissed cheeks, tousled hair, dresses and cool flip flops), High Rooftop is the kind of place that works for just about any kind of night. Date night, girls' night and group nights all work seamlessly here. After a day at the beach, the High Rooftop is the definitive place to begin and end your evening. Even providing free cozy blankets to chilly patrons after the sun goes down, you can be sure all your needs and desires will be taken care of at the High Rooftop.

What makes the High Rooftop Lounge the very best rooftop bar and lounge in Venice? Well, the fact that it's the only one for starters. If you’re looking to get a bird’s eye view of the beach while sipping on some mojitos, the High Rooftop is literally
This is definitely a hot spot in Venice and as such it's prone to becoming very crowded, very quickly. To avoid having to stand all night, you can make a reservation (on their website) and snag you and your crew a table and a home base. Thinking a little ahead unquestionably pays off for this venue.
