Schedule

Lineup: The CrookesThe Crookes have announced a July tour of the U.S. in support of their new album Soapbox released last month on Modern Outsider and in conjunction with the release of second single, “Don’t Put Your Faith In Me”, on July 1 – you can watch the video for the single here. The tour kicks off July 8 in Philadelphia and runs through July 24 in San Francisco (complete dates below). Described by the BBC’s Steve Lamacq as “one of the most hardworking and prolific bands of the underground,” The Crookes wrap up a six-week tour of the UK and Europe, with a hometown celebration in Sheffield next weekend. Soapbox is the sophomore North American release, third overall, for The Crookes. Recorded in a church in the northern Italian alps, the remote isolation brought together this band of outsiders even closer, as they laid out their plan of attack. “The most obvious theme that runs through the entire album is the idea of ‘The Outsider’,” frets guitarist and lyricist Daniel. “As a band that seems to suit us… never invited inside, but never wanting to be. I can empathize more with the madman standing on his soapbox, slowly gaining an audience by speaking with passion and honesty."
