Lineup: Mean Dream, HOTT MTEllie Gordon and Bela Messex are childhood friends and L.A natives who reunited in 2012 to make music in their hometown. After many hours spent cooped up in musty little garage, a lo-fi, electronic project was born. What began as a two-piece band evolved into a full sized group with an reverb-drenched soundscape that haunts the genres of shoe-gaze and post-punk. Performing since the winter of 2013, Mean Dream’s music has been compared to a variety of bands like My Bloody Valentine, Jesus and Mary Chain and Mazzy Star. Mean Dream's first tape will be released through Summer Bummer records on August 26.
