Hollywood's Las Palmas nightclub is a dark yet vibrant venue with a colorful palette of vintage Spanish décor. More laid back than some Hollywood venues, at Las Palmas you'll find strong drinks, two outdoor patios, dark leather banquette seating and plenty of special touches including vintage chandeliers, brick archways, a corner taqueria and a jellyfish-filled aquarium behind the bar.
Just north of Hollywood Boulevard you'll find Las Palmas, a combination of dance club, tequila bar and late-night taqueria rolled into one. With vintage chandeliers, brick archways, wrought iron decor and an aquarium filled with jellyfish behind the bar, Las Palmas offers a unique old-world ambience to a thoroughly modern crowd. Drinks are strong, and you’ll find a second bar outside on the smoking patio, along with a taqueria tucked into a corner selling tacos and a la carte Mexican food. Las Palmas has a small dance floor but plenty of dark leather banquettes for seating, and the two outdoor patios provide fresh air for the crowd. VIPs can rent out cabanas or sign up for open bar service until midnight, making this Spanish-style dance party a good deal. Music at Las Palmas gets rave reviews and features DJs who play "everything" into a potent dance mix, from hip hop and R&B to electro, house music and Top 40 hits. In some ways it's a typical Hollywood club (long lines, cabanas, bottle service encouraged), but Las Palmas isn’t as flashy as many, and features a more laid-back dress code and attitude (if you're on the list, you'll get in).
Las Palmas was previously known as the nightclub LAX, and before that it was... Las Palmas. The club's original manifestation was a Mexican restaurant.
If you don't want to valet your vehicle, you’ll find a $10 parking lot right across the street from Las Palmas.
