Out of all the bars located near the ocean on Pier Avenue in Hermosa Beach, Patrick Molloy's is your best Irish Pub go-to. Designed specifically to cater to adults of all ages, the Irish style pub serves American style bar food favorites. Every day and night, enjoy sports, bands, DJs, and drink specials. The daily happy hour goes well into dinner, and double shot weekend breakfast drinks give you a bang for your buck.
Dimly lit bar meets beach seems like an oxymoron. Patrick Molloy's, located a 30-second walk to the ocean, somehow works. The venue has a bar equipped to sit many; booths to the right of the venue are for larger groups. If you’re visiting Hermosa Beach but are not quite ready to take a break from the sun, then sit on the patio for full service. While a restaurant during the day, Patty Molloy's gets quite lively on weekday and weekend nights, with DJs, drink specials, and live bands that brings in the night-owl crowd. Even on a Monday night, 20-somethings play beer pong for hours. On weekend nights, beach-locals in their 20’s and 30’s dress up in their best, and stop by the pub for $5 Fireball shot specials, good music, and even some dancing if the floors are not too crowded. The stage is large, and located in the front of the venue; whether you are sitting, standing, or at the bar, your seat will be one of the best in the house. On St. Patty's Day weekend, Patrick Molloy's brings in backup forces in the form of beer kegs. The place gets packed with patrons aching for a good time, and the bar is ready. Molloy's opens its doors at 7am, and has three DJs and green beer to accommodate through the weekend.

Patrick Molloy's was opened with the intention of catering to adults of all ages. The bar has been known to hold interesting events, including a Thanksgiving Pie-eating contest. The founder named the bar after his son.
Weekend breakfast is served until noon; during this time, ask about the 80oz vessel specials. The bar often does holiday themed parties, so call ahead to find out about festivities.
