Located down a nondescript alleyway off Hollywood Boulevard, Dim Mak Studios is a dance-friendly nightclub with an incredible sound system, trendy atmosphere and crowd that came to get down. Graffiti decor and blocks of TVs give the venue an underground atmosphere, and you'll also find two bars, two stages and some of the best electronic beats in the city.
Home to Steve Aoki's legendary Tuesday night party, the new Dim Mak Studios in Hollywood is an excellent place to experience Los Angeles' thriving electronic dance music community with superstar DJs and wild dance parties several nights of the week. With an amazing sound system whose bass bins reverberate through the body, this newly renovated venue features two stages and two bars serving fan favorites like free vodka drinks before 10PM and Colt 45 40-ounce bottles. Wander through the maze-like rooms with graffiti decor and blocks of televisions along with a young, friendly crowd that comes to dance and enjoy the chill vibe. Dim Mak Studios also features a smoking patio, clean unisex bathrooms and private booths for VIP bottle service. Music selection at this new Hollywood hotspot runs from hip hop to techno, electro, house and dubstep - but rest assured that the beats will be heavy and the room will be loud. The small dance floor in front of the DJ booth gets packed and sweaty, for an intimate nightclub experience where having fun is the main theme of the night. Grown out of local independent EDM label Dim Mak Records, this new nightclub offers a friendly dance experience with top-shelf beats and a crowd that came to get down.
Once known as Cinespace, the entrance to this venue is no longer on Hollywood Boulevard, but is now located in the alleyway between Ivar and Cahuenga – which adds to the underground vibe.
The best evening for underground dance party action is Tuesday, when Dim Mak Tuesdays takes over the space with a cast of talented guest artists like Skrillex, LA Riots, Mumbai Science and more.
