The Libertine is a sexy little spot nestled by a gloriously wonderful taco spot right where Sunset Blvd bends. You can easily miss it - the front is so unassuming, that it could easily be mistaken for a doctor’s office or other such medical spa. But once you find parking (good luck!), and part the heavy dark curtain that shrouds the front door, you’ll find yourself whisked away into the sexiness that is Libertine.
Inside, the Libertine is entirely spacious and just the kind of place you’d want to sip exotic cocktails and loll around their leather ottomans in sheer pleasure. If you’re feeling a little more adventurous, go explore their downstairs area. It’s grotto-esque in feel, with opulent stone walls and little hidden lights to enhance its seductive feel. The Libertine is also one of the less-known dance clubs in Los Angeles, featuring House of Groove on Saturdays, Sundown Hotel on Thursdays, and Philter on Tuesdays, a night of jazzy, funk-driven deep soul house with guest DJs every week. The Libertine is a great date spot if you’re looking to impress!
