The Surly Goat in West Hollywood

The Surly Goat

Address:
7929 Santa Monica Blvd
West Hollywood, CA 90046

Through a narrow corridor lined with river rock, patrons enter a design sanctuary of raw woods, candlelit lighting and natural stone accents. Like its attractive decor, the revitalized former Belly spot draws a crowd of dapper Hollywood types mixed with artists, musicians and hipsters. Patrons can be found lounging on the large collections of leather benches, lingering in the two sunken booths, dancing a bit in the main room, or outside on one of the two patios. Seven is unique in that it has two outdoor patios. The front patio is exposed to the street so that guests can ?see and be seen? while catching some fresh air with their cocktail. The side patio is private and exclusive, decorated with low leather benches and bamboo. Partners Noah Silverman and Chris Campbell have teamed up to reinvent the ultra-lounge in Hollywood. [Seven] will be a premier destination for those with an appreciation for taste and style. It is a revival of the decadent, intimate and exclusive bars that once dominated club-land. This venue was created with an eye for elegance, but one foot planted firmly in the original roots of hip, urban jazz clubs. The sensual decor is designed to enhance the deep, soulful sound from a state-of-the-art speaker system that will wrap club-goers in vibrant music that fills the room, but does not intrude on the lost art of good conversation. L.A.'s best DJs, jazz bands, and lounge singers will be invited to create a sexy atmosphere that is fitting for a night out in Tinseltown. The upscale clubby ambience is offset by a certain sense of ease. Despite its air of Hollywood exclusivity, Seven plays host to a diversified blend of both Hollywood celebrities and locals from the neighborhood. The charm of Seven is relaxed and effortless Seven is a place where creativity comes alive. The club is focused on working with and introducing new and gifted talent from the world of art, music and film. Famous DJs can be found spinning guest sets while the club is also a cultivation spot for new and gifted DJ talent. Many local designers and fashion labels have already created installations, live photo shoots, and shows at the venue. Regular, weekly events are being produced to encourage and showcase all this remarkable talent.
