From your metal chair and your table for two (or maybe four) you will be able to gaze out at cyclists speeding along the bike path, beach volleyball players getting sweaty and sandy as they jockey for the best shot, and of course loads of beach goers milling about and enjoying the scenery. There are certainly no false pretenses inside this delightfully faded beach bar. People from every neighborhood of Los Angeles (and tourists) all amiably meander in with shorts, tank tops and even some board shorts still salty and wet from the day's surf. Truly blending in to Venice's lazily cool vibe, the On The Waterfront Cafe serves up their large glasses of beer with a wholly relaxed attitude fitting for its location. They also serve up massive oversized German pretzels that have become a favorite for the regulars. Day and night, it's not uncommon to see this place completely packed with people indulging in some delicious food and drink while they recharge and head out on to the next Venice adventure.
