5 Places with an Amazing View of L.A.:

#4 - The Huntley

There aren't that many places in Los Angeles that can boast having a spectacular view of both the city and the coast. This is why the fancy bar/restaurant at the top of the Huntley Hotel in Santa Monica is so special. This spot is all about the ambiance and the view (you can even take an all glass elevator up to the penthouse bar so you don’t have to go a second without something breathtaking to look at). With large floor to ceiling windows flanking the entire border of the bar, wherever you glance, there’s something to see. Adding to the exclusive vibe of the Huntley are the plush white booths set up behind billowy sheer curtains, so that each group has a sense of intimacy and their own little private view. Because of its location, the Huntley is a great spot both for when the sun’s out and after it’s set. During the happy hours, lots of working professionals flock to this penthouse to grab a drink and watch the waves, and when the lights go down things really heat up (sometimes there’s even dancing). Though you won't be able to see the coast anymore, at night you can see all the shining lights of the city rising and falling with the town’s hills and valleys. Usually serving a good mix of dressed up 20-40 somethings, this is the place to go if you want to post up for drink during the day and not leave until the next morning all while enjoying the city views.
