Los Angeles Dive Bars:

#2 - Tattle Tale Room

You always have "one of those nights" at Tattle Tale. Located in Culver City where Sepulveda meets Sawtelle and Jefferson in a strip mall, with a lesser dive bar in the same strip mall. But Tattle Tale takes the cake in terms of dive, right down to the barn-door entrance. There's the quintessential older gentlemen at the bar who have literally been there forever, there's the overfriendly cougar crowd, there's the younger Culver City hipsters, and they're all rocking out to the hilariously drunk karaoke going down by the pool table - with people playing pool around the singer. There's no stage like a regular karaoke place, there's no special lighting, there's no KJ that takes his job way seriously. There's just a guy, his karaoke rig, and you with the mic in front of a pool table in the middle of a Culver City dive bar, singing Journey with your 4th beer in your hand. And, of course, the crowd goes wild. The crowd is what makes this Los Angeles dive bar great, because at the Tattle Tale Room, you can be your regular rowdy, loud self along with twenty of your rowdiest, most obnoxious friends, and you'll fit right in!
