Much like its sister restaurant Downtown, Public School 612, Public School 310 (or PS310 as it's called by the regulars), is a bastion of old school charm and new school hipness. Giving patrons a lesson in casual coolness, the art of food and beer is the main focus of their culinary thesis. They definitely have the theme down, with brick walls and shelving covered in leather-bound books, old globes and even a few microscopes. Looking around, you'll feel as if you're in the type of classroom you always dreamed of - one with tasteful retro decor and a bar with tons of beer on tap. PS310 has also aced the little things. With awesome touches like having their menu printed to look like an old composition notebook, to having napkins that look like ruled paper, this spot brings in people by the droves on a regular basis. What makes eating in this academic haven even more amazing, is that their menu also receives top marks. Serving up delicious gastronomic items like chilled corn and coconut soup or truffle fries, this place really knows how to hit the spot. Especially when you can wash down these awesome dishes with your choice of icy cold brews right in the heart of downtown Culver City.
